Opportunities

Employment

The Puppet Co. Playhouse is a professional, non-Equity theater.  The unique aspects of puppet theater has allowed Equity actors to perform with us without violating Actors Equity agreements.  All professional, adult actors are welcome to audition with the understanding that puppet training will be necessary.  Professional puppeteers are, when available, given preference.  Performances are usually four or five days a week, during morning and early afternoon hours, permitting evening work.  Rehearsals are tailored to fit cast member schedules whenever possible.  Auditions are announced on this site, and via our mailing list.

Business staff positions open up on occasion, and are announced in the TPC News page and via our “Employment Opportunities” mailing list.

Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome, but opportunities are limited, particularly in the area of puppet making.  If you have a special skill, service or product you would like to volunteer, or would just like to help in general, please contact us via this link with a brief outline of how you would like to help.

Interns

During the summer months, the Puppet Co accepts one high school intern, and one or two college interns to assist in all aspects of the puppet theater production and management.  These positions may be applied to academic credit according to the rules of the candidate’s school, and are without pay.   The application process begins in February of the internship year.  This application may be used for all intern applications and emailed to this address.
