Our Mini-Music Series continues with our Helen Hayes Recommended production of Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” performed by the Puppet Co.’s own Christopher Piper. Piper performs solo, operating all the marionettes ( string puppets ) and giving them voice. There is no 10:00 AM performance on Friday, January 20, but there are tickets available for the 11:30 show, and both shows on Saturday and Sunday.

Tiny Tots @ 10:00 has tickets available for shows on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Puppet Co. Playhouse’s “Puppetry Slam” is on Saturday Night, April 28 at 7:00 & 9:00 PM. Moms and Dads, you should book your babysitters ’cause the Slam is not for kids! Thank you to all our families that made 2011 a record year for the Puppet Co.! More than 100,000 children, teachers and parents came to the Playhouse last year. This year promises to be even better: Our Mini-Music Series continues on January 13 with Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” performed by the Puppet Co.’s own Christopher Piper. Piper performs solo, operating all the marionettes ( string puppets ) and giving them voice. Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” follows on February 24, with a 60-minute version of the three-hour opera, sung in english. We kept all the good parts and promise the experience will not only be painless, but actually highly entertaining, and a LOT of fun.

Tiny Tots @ 10:00 resumes on Saturday, January 14.

The Box Office will be closed until Wednesday, January 11, but we will be returning phone calls with a skeleton crew as soon as possible. Meanwhile, you can always get your tickets online.

There are still tickets left for all weekend shows, however last weekend had three of the four shows completely sold out, and the fourth nearly so. Helen Hayes Award nominee for Best Children’s Production, “The Nutcracker,” returns for its 24th year this Friday. Special showtimes on Friday, November 25, are 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM, same as for Saturday and Sunday.
