Snow
Days -
On weekdays when Montgomery County Schools are closed or delayed
due to inclement weather, or when Glen Echo Park is closed by Park
management, there will be no shows. Weekend closings will occur
if weather or other conditions indicate a safety hazard. Closings
will be noted at (301)320-6668 whenever possible.
Individual
Sales - It is always advisable to call ahead for
reservations and to make sure seating is available. A non-paid,
no obligation reservation can be made up to two weeks in advance
and will be held until 15 minutes before the show.
Tickets
may be purchased with cash, check, Discover, Visa, or Mastercard.
Paid advance reservations may be made using your credit card and
will be held at the Box Office until you arrive. You may also purchase
advance reservations in person during Box Office
Hours.
Due to the popularity
of The Nutcracker, we strongly
recommend that you make reservations as far in advance as possible.
Group
Sales are available. We request that all groups
make advance reservations and follow the procedures below.
We recommend
that schools have at least one chaperone for every ten students
in order to guide them from/to the bus and the Playhouse and to
ensure they remain organized while in the Park and the Playhouse.
To support this, we allow one chaperone in for free for every 10
students attending.
Deposit
- A 50% deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. A due
date will be assigned when you make the reservation. The deposit
is usually due 30 days prior to the performance you are attending.
The balance is due the day you arrive to see the show. You will
forfeit your deposit if you do not attend the performance, unless
due to weather (see below) or other cancellation of the performance
by the Puppet Co.
Weather
- Should your school be officially closed due to inclement
weather, the Puppet Co. will refund your deposit or apply
it to rescheduling to the next available date of your choosing.
