Face Lift

Of course, you're looking at the biggest news-OUR NEW WEBSITE! It started as a labor of love, but other feelings have emerged since :). It is perpetually a work in progress, and suggestions are welcome. In order to get this site up and running, we have blocked in some future links that are not up yet. Your patience is appreciated. In the near future we will have more pictures, movies, learning guides, and tutorials. All content will be family friendly.

Schedule Change

Due to Christopher Piper's left hand being broken when his van was struck by a red light runner, we are switching our productions "Goldilocks!" and "Pinocchio." The schedule on this website reflects the accurate information. Award-winning puppetmaster Terry Snyder will reprise his roles in "Pinocchio" along with creator Allan Stevens, and MayField Piper as the little wooden puppet. Christopher will be back with Cate Krege in "Goldilocks!"

Pennies for Puppets

Adults have been helping us in a BIG way toward raising $500,000 to fit out the new Playhouse. Now kids can get in on the act through the "Pennies for Puppets" campaign. A giant penny jar awaits little philantropists in the lobby of the interim Playhouse. 50 million pennies are we're all set!

...and for the big kids...

Meanwhile, our adult friends and neighbors have contributed about $165,000 toward the $350,000 needed to get the new Playhouse open this Summer (and $500,000 to complete Phase One)! The combination of size, extent of program, and the fact that this theater and resource center is being built exclusively for the Art of Puppetry makes it unique in America.

Those wishing to participate in the creation of this outstanding asset to Montgomery County, the Washington Metro Area, the Puppet Arts, and many thousands of children are urged to send their donations to: the Puppet Co. Playhouse, Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, MD 20812

All contrbutions are tax-deductible!
