the fun, come see why the Puppet Co. is the finest puppet
theater in America. This production, one of the two
that founded the Puppet Co. (the other was Pinocchio),
marks the first anniversary of the already renown showcase
of American puppetry. While we have presented many local
and nationally known Puppet Masters, we celebrate this
landmark event with our own Christopher Piper's tour
de force in an engaging story sure to entertain young
and old alike.

What's
"Peter and the Wolf" About???
"Peter and the Wolf" is one
of The Puppet Co.'s best loved stories. It has been
performed for half a million children and their parents
from Washington, D. C. to Honolulu, Hawaii.
The one-man show, performed by puppetmaster Christopher
Piper, is based on Russia's popular tale of good versus
evil, and staged with half life-size marionettes. This
story of Peter's, and his animal friends', attempts
to capture wily "Old Lupus", is a new approach
to the old tale, using character dialogue rather than
narrative to develope the plot.
