February 27 – April 11, 2010
Out of the misty veil of Russian folklore comes the classic tale of palaces and promises. While Pride and Vanity crave silks and jewels, their sister Beauty desires nothing but a single red rose. Their father finds his ships wrecked and the cargo gone. He finds a magical palace, and there a rose, which he picks. In payment for the rose, he must send his daughter to a beastly prince. The beast learns to live outside himself and discover courage, companionship, trust, and love in the heart of the merchant’s daughter.
